At Safe Haven Training, we specialise in delivering trusted, high-quality first aid and health & safety training to individuals and organisations across the UK.

We offer a wide range of accredited courses, including Emergency First Aid at Work, 3 Day First Aid at Work, Blended Paediatric First Aid, and more - all fully aligned with the latest HSE, Ofsted, and EYFS guidelines.

All of our courses are nationally accredited to ensure you receive the highest standard of training. We are approved by the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB), a recognised awarding body that upholds rigorous industry standards. In addition, we offer courses accredited by Qualsafe Awards, one of the UK’s largest Ofqual-recognised awarding organisations for first aid and health & safety qualifications.

Our Journey - Safe Haven Training Limited

Safe Haven Training was founded in 2012 by Ian Bryan, an experienced NHS paramedic and County Air Ambulance veteran with over 30 years on the frontline of emergency care. After witnessing first-hand the difference that confident, well-trained people can make in critical moments, Ian set out to make high-quality, accredited first aid and health & safety training more accessible to everyone, not just professionals. That's when Staffordshire First Aid Training was born, which later paved the way for Safe Haven Training Limited.



What started as a vision has grown into a family-run training company with a national reach and a personal touch. Today, we remain committed to the same mission: to empower people with life-saving knowledge, real-world confidence, and training that truly makes an impact. Our team is made up of NHS professionals, paramedics, and emergency care specialists who bring genuine, hands-on experience to every course.

We don’t just teach first aid, we’ve lived it. And that’s what makes our training different. From nurseries and schools to construction sites and corporate offices, we’re proud to support individuals and organisations across the UK with practical, engaging, and nationally recognised training that prepares people for the moments that matter most.

    Humble Beginnings

    Safe Haven began its journey as Staffordshire First Aid Training, founded by Ian Bryan, a seasoned NHS paramedic and air ambulance veteran. Driven by a passion to save lives and make first aid accessible, we started as a family-run business offering affordable, high-quality training in Staffordshire.

  • 2015
    First Major Win

    This year marked a significant leap when we secured our first major nationwide contract with Pirelli Tyres. This partnership validated the strength of our training programmes and opened doors to working with large scale organisations across the UK.

  • 2018
    Rebranded & Expanded

    We officially became Safe Haven Training Ltd, incorporating the company to reflect our growing national presence. With the new name came an expanded vision, offering training beyond Staffordshire and reaching businesses, schools, and councils across England. Our course offerings and instructor team also grew, bringing in NHS professionals and emergency responders to lead the training.

  • 2020
    Resilience Through Challenge

    The pandemic posed a huge challenge, but we pivoted quickly. We implemented enhanced safety protocols, such as PPE kits, social distancing in classrooms, and CPR modifications, ensuring uninterrupted training delivery. Despite the uncertainty, we achieved major wins: a £250,000 contract with Dudley Council and a Contract with NHS Mid Cheshire Hospital. These milestones reinforced our reputation as a trusted, resilient training provider even in crisis.

    Nationwide Growth

    By 2024, Safe Haven Training proudly achieved nationwide presence, delivering certified first aid and health & safety training from Cheshire to Cornwall, and London to Liverpool. With a growing instructor network and flexible training formats, we now support organisations of all sizes, from local nurseries to national corporations.
