The Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health is ideal for anyone within a workplace who is looking to either create or maintain a positive culture in the workplace, as well as in their personal lives. This course is an extension and further expands on the 4 hour Level 1 Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health. To note, you do not have to attend a Mental Health First Aid course before undertaking this course.

How Is the Mental Health at Work First Aid Course (1 Day) Delivered?
We offer this course monthly for anyone looking to improve their knowledge of mental health. We can deliver the course at your workplace on a date that works for you.
Course Duration: 6 hours (usually 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM). Flexible timings are available for group bookings at your venue.
What is covered?
1. What is First Aid for Mental Health? 2. Identifying mental health conditions, 3. Providing advice and starting a conversation, 4. Drugs and alcohol, 5. First Aid for Mental Health action plan, 6. First Aid for mental health in the workplace, 7. A large range of Mental Health conditions covered in detail, 8. Anxiety, Depression, and suicide, 9. Bipolar, personality and bipolar disorders.
Validity: Certification lasts 3 years.
When will I get my certificate? Within 48 hours of course completion.
Assessment: In order to complete this course, there will be a range of methods used to demonstrate your knowledge, including practical real-life scenario examples and questioning. The final examination will be multiple choice and open questions. Upon successful completion of this course, each delegate will be issued with an Ofqual-regulated Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health. This certificate will expire three years after the date of completion. However, for this course, annual refresher training is strongly recommended.
